Thai Nguyen is a Vietnamese American fashion designer based out of Orange County, California. Born and raised in South Vietnam, he learned to sew at the age of nine and quickly honed his love for art and fashion. As a 2002 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Thai joined BCBG Max Azria as an associate designer. Using the two years of invaluable work experience, he stepped out of the shadows in pursuit of creative freedom. This sparked a journey that evolved into a clothing line and brand known for modern-feminine styling adorned with exquisite detailing. Applying his mantra of the Three F's: fabrics, fit, and feels, Thai always strives to make his designs a one-of-a-kind, luxurious experience.

Along with customized western dresses and gowns, Thai is best known for his contemporary take on the Vietnamese cultural dress, the áo dài. His re-envisioning of the áo dài has taken this iconic symbol of Vietnam into the modern age of luxury, comfort, and nostalgia. No longer will you struggle with archaic buttons and low-grade zippers of the past. Every detailed inch of Thai's custom áo dài is made for you with your personality and tastes in mind.
